When will it reach its climax and other lunar dates

Date:

This will be the first of three great summer pyramids.

The world is scheduled to see the full moon in June, known as Strawberry Moon, on June 14 (Tuesday). At 7.51 a.m. EDT (5.22 p.m. PDT) that day, the moon will be at its closest point in its orbit around Earth, called perihelion, making it look like a “giant moon.”

Giant satellites appear brighter and larger to people on Earth, providing a great stare at night if the sky is clear.

On Tuesday, it will come 222,238 miles from Earth (about 16,000 miles closer than its average distance) and is expected to be 10 percent brighter than a regular full moon.

What is a strawberry moon?

The strawberry moon doesn’t look like strawberries, nor is it pink. This name was given to the full moon by Native American tribes. According to the Old Farmer’s Almanac, “this name (Strawberry Moon) was used by the Algonquin, Ojibwe, Dakota, and Lakota peoples, among others, to refer to the ripening of ‘June-bearing’ strawberries ready for collection.”

This will be the first of three great summer pyramids.

Lowest moon of the year

According to space.com, this year’s supermoon will be the lowest full moon in 2022, rising only 23.3 degrees above the horizon, according to NASA. It will be the lowest because the event is coming before the summer solstice on June 21.

According to a guide from NASA: “On the summer solstice, the sun appears highest in the sky for the year. Full moons are opposite the sun, so a full moon near the summer solstice will be low in the sky.”

The US space agency also said that this would give people a chance to discover craters and mountains on the moon’s surface with a good telescope.

How do you watch it online?

The virtual telescope project in the Italian city of Ceccano will host a free live broadcast of the full moon on Tuesday. The webcast will begin at 3.15pm EST (12.45am Indian Standard Time) and show live views of the moon.

Full moon calendar for 2022

According to the Old Farmers calendar, there will be six full moon events this year:

July 13: Pak Mun
August 11: Sturgeon Moon
September 10: Harvest Moon
October 9: Hunter’s Moon
November 8: Beaver Moon
December 7: Cold Moon

This full moon coincides with Vat Purnima, a festival celebrated by Hindus in which married women tie a ceremonial thread around a banyan tree and fast for the life of their husbands.
