Here’s a SpaceX dance you won’t see every day.
Fun (and acrobatic) video by astronauts on International Space Station Reveals the lighter side of space travel as the fly is in formation SpaceX Spacesuits while preparing to return to Earth.
new videoPosted by European Space Agency Astronaut Matthias Maurer, The four astronauts on the Crew-3 mission by NASA and SpaceX are shown taking a break while checking out their spacesuits last week. The video was set to the music of the waltz “The Blue Danube” by Johann Strauss II and shows the astronauts performing intricate dances as they sail next to each other in Weightlessness.
“In case anyone is wondering how astronauts check their spacesuits,” Maurer wrote. Share the video on Twitter. “We call this a ‘suit-fit waltz.’ I think I might be missing out on micro-gravity and these antics with it Tweet embedAnd Tweet embed & Kayla”.
Strauss’ “Blue Danube” waltz has a long history of being tuned to alien spaceflights. In the 1968 science fiction film “2001: A Space Odyssey” directed by Stanley Kubrick Pairing music with a space plane flight to a space station to display the intricate spaceflight ballet.
With a more humorous approach, Homer Simpson gracefully flew through a space shuttle while chasing potato chips. In the 1994 episode Deep Space Homer Strauss’ iconic tune also plays in the background.
It looks like the Crew-3 astronauts had a photo session wearing SpaceX suits too, Take a picture while shaping the wheel.
Maurer and his crewmates 3 – NASA astronauts Raja Chari, Thomas Marshburn and Kayla Barron – Returned to Earth May 6 on SpaceX’s Dragon Endurance To finish a six-month mission to the International Space Station. The astronauts spent 176 days in space and scattered off the coast of Tampa, Florida, for their spaceflights.
Crew-3 astronauts returned to Earth just one week after SpaceX launched another crew to the NASA space station. That mission, called Crew-4, lThree NASA astronauts and one European astronaut launched to the station on April 27 to begin their own six-month journey.
