Last Sunday, he wrote “I Can Hurt You” to D.L. Hughley on Instagram. On Wednesday, Meta, the parent company of Instagram, slapped the rapper with a 24-hour ban after he posted a series of racial insults directly to daily offer Host Trevor Noah.
This all happened after Noah expressed concern about ex-Kim Kardashian, criticizing Kanye’s harassing behaviour.
“What we see here is one of the most powerful and richest women in the world who is unable to get her ex to stop texting, stop stalking her, stop harassing her,” Noah told the Tuesday Night Show.
Amidst it all, on Saturday afternoon, Willis, the lead singer of Village People, claimed that it was Trevor Noah’s fault that Ye was banned and that the Grammys should have removed Noah as host instead.
Willis began his statement by saying, “Although Kanye West’s recent behavior has been annoying and even despised, the Grammy ban is just as annoying.”
He continued, “Trever learned Noah that he was hosting the Grammys (where Kanye West was up for several nominations) before getting himself into Kanye’s business, and is attracting a response.” Yi has been nominated for five Grammy Awards.
He continued, “Trevor knows what Kanye is like.” “Now Kanye is out of the Grammys because Trevor Noah as host, he couldn’t keep his mouth shut (at least even after the Grammys ended) putting the Academy in an awkward position with Kanye.”
“I love Trevor, but maybe the Grammys should have thought of pulling him in as host to get himself into this mess in the first place,” he added. “Harvey Mason needs to fix this mess and fast. Let Kanye West lead. What do you say?”
