The IDF operates in the north, center and south of the Gaza Strip
Israeli forces entered Jabalia in the northern Gaza Strip this morning and began a large-scale evacuation of civilians in the area yesterday. Shortly before IDF troops entered Gaza City, many of the city’s residents fled the fighting following Israeli airstrikes.
Meanwhile, military operations continued yesterday in the Zeytoun neighborhood south of Gaza City, where the IDF returned for the third time. Israeli forces are focused on detecting weapons and locating war mines. Last night, IDF spokesman Daniel Hagari announced continued operations in the neighborhood, saying forces had discovered a major underground road.
The IDF continues its operations in Rafah in the south, where residents continue to be evacuated. The Israeli military estimates that around 300,000 people were evacuated after these announcements. The government has decided to deepen the operation in Rafah, but the Israeli military describes it as still “limited”.
