Poco's X4 Pro 5G offers a 120Hz AMOLED display and 108MP camera at an affordable price

Xiaomi-owned Poco debuted the X4 Pro 5G and M4 Pro at MWC 2022 in Europe, and both offer fairly impressive specs for the prices you usually find in mid-range phones.

Poco describes its X4 Pro 5G phone as offering a “flagship-level experience”, but at €299 (~$335) or €349 (~$391), depending on which level of storage you choose. The cheapest model comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, while the more expensive model offers 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.

Poco’s X4 Pro 5G is the successor to X3 GT Poco was released last JulySimilar specifications at an affordable price. The X4 Pro features a 6.67-inch AMOLED DotDisplay display with 120Hz refresh rate and 360Hz sampling rate, and 2400 x 1080 FHD+ resolution. On the back there are three camera sensors: a 108MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP mini camera, while the front of the device houses a 16MP selfie camera.

In terms of processing power, the X4 Pro comes with an octa-core Snapdragon 695 5G processor. It also has a 5,000mAh battery – which Poco claims can power 15 hours of video playback or up to 25 hours of reading – and supports 67W fast charging.

The cheaper Poco, the M4 Pro, has a 6.43-inch AMOLED DotDisplay display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a touch sampling rate of 180Hz. It comes with a 64MP main camera, an 8MP wide-angle camera, a 2MP macro lens at the back, and a 16MP front camera. Like the X4 Pro, the M4 Pro has the same 2400 x 1800 FHD+ resolution and 5,000 mAh battery, but it replaces the Snapdragon chip with an octa-core MediaTek Helio G96. The M4 Pro costs 219 euros (about $246) for 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, or 269 euros (about $ 302) for 8 GB / 256 GB.

Both devices come in black, blue and yellow colours. Poco says they will be available for an early bird discount starting March 2, with the X4 Pro starting at €249 (~$279) and the M4 Pro starting at €179 (~$201). There is no information on a US release date, but it will be available at retailers including Amazon.
