In one of the photos, Charles is pictured with his eldest son, William, Prince of Wales and his grandson, Prince George, in the throne room at Buckingham Palace.
The King is fully clothed, the royal robes and imperial state crown, while holding the Sovereign’s Orb and Scepter with the Cross. He is seated on one of the two throne chairs made for the future King George V and Queen Mary for use at the coronation of King Edward VII in 1902.

In this photo released by Buckingham Palace on May 12, Britain’s King Charles III and Queen Camilla pose for a photo with the Pages of Honor and ladies in attendance on Coronation Day, May 6, in the Throne Room at Buckingham Palace, London.
The pictures were taken by British photographer Hugo Bernand, who has worked with the royal family for more than 20 years.
Charles and Camilla were crowned on May 6, in a magnificent and very religious ceremony in Westminster Abbey.
The coronation – a symbolic gathering of the monarchy, church and state – was attended by dignitaries from all over the world, and thousands of people gathered in the streets of London to watch the processions to and from the abbey. This was Britain’s first coronation in 70 years.
Charles immediately became king in September when his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, died at the age of 96. It was the longest reign in British history.
