Count actor Elijah Wood among those in favor of the new Lord of the rings Planned movies.
Warner Bros. said: Pictures and Swedish media company Embracer Group announced earlier this year that they would produce more films based on it. the Lord of the Rings And The hobbit.
Wood, who played Frodo Baggins in Peter Jackson’s hugely successful LOTR movie trilogy, talked about what the new movies could be like in an interview with GQ.
“I am impressed and excited,” said Wood GQ. “I’m surprised — I don’t know why I’m surprised, because of course there will be more movies.”

“The core of that is obviously the desire to make a lot of money,” Wood allows. “It’s not that a bunch of executives are like, ‘Let’s make really cool art.'” And again, not to envy anyone because of commerce, of course. But great art can come from commerce. So these two things are not mutually exclusive.
Wood said that the films he was involved in were a little different from this point of view.
“but [Jackson’s] Lord of the rings He didn’t get out of that place. This came from a passion for these books and a desire to see them come true. And I hope that in the end this is what will move everything forward in whatever these subsequent films are. I just hope it’s the same motivating factor at its core, when they hire a screenwriter and filmmaker – that with a reverence for Tolkien’s material and his enthusiasm for exploring it.”
The team behind the Peter Jackson films — including Jackson himself — have claimed to know about the plans, though there has been no announcement of actual involvement.
