The investigation is progressing after a series of terrorist attacks in Russia on Sunday, June 23, that killed at least 20 people. On Friday 28 June, Russian police launched a massive search operation across Dagestan, the Russian republic in the North Caucasus where the attacks took place. Hours after the attack, Russian authorities identified one of the terrorists as Gadzhimurad Kagirov, a former MMA professional. For several months he attended the training room of the Eagles MMA club owned by Khabib Nurmagomedov in Derbent.
