It’s early in the NBA season, but the Warriors Shooting guard Klay Thompson did something during Tuesday night’s match against suns Which he had never done before in his NBA career: He was fired.
The 32-year-old received two technical fouls in quick succession after getting into an argument with Phoenix’s Devin Booker. After the first technique, Thompson continued to fly across the land, needing to be restrained by the Warriors’ personnel. He eventually directed his verbal records toward referee Ed Malloy, who issued Thompson his second technique that sent him into the locker room.
On his way there, Thompson continued his lunge, screaming and nodding toward Suns’ seat.
Tuesday was Thompson’s 651st professional game of the regular season, so it’s a great streak to come to an end. The expulsion was a fitting end to an overall frustrating night for the All-Star Five, who finished off a 1-for-8 shot from the ground with only two points and two assists.
It’s been a slow start to the season for Thompson so far. In four games he’s played, he’s shooting 35.6% from the field and only 28.6% in three-point attempts.
