Brake alert: This post discusses the massive plot developments in “Connor’s Wedding,” season 4, episode 3 of “Succession,” now streaming on HBO Max.
Jeremy Strong speaks for the first time about the shocking death of The Caliphate last week. The star, who plays Kendall Roy in the HBO series, was front and center in the episode “Connor’s Wedding,” written by “Succession” creator Jesse Armstrong, which featured the death of family patriarch Logan Roy (Brian Cox).
“It went through my heart, not my mind,” said Strong. diverse. “What I mean is that it went and didn’t cross my mind as much as I found it distressing to read and experience it when we were making it.”
Strong said he was really shocked, just as Caliphate fans were, by the “suddenness of it, the banality of it, the usual way the way this stuff works, the inability to somehow have the moment you want it to be. The suddenness of this stuff, the irreversibility of that Things happen. The fact of death, the fact of their existence, and now we have to deal with that grief and loss amidst a pit viper battle, you know.”
The episode was directed by Executive Producer Mark Mylod, and centered on both the boat on which Connor Roy (Alan Ruck) and siblings Kendall, Roman (Kieran Culkin) and Chief (Sarah Snook) gathered, and the Waystar Royco plane, where Logan was traveling with his executive team. To Sweden, trying to salvage a package.
Talk to Strong diverse On Saturday at the ninth annual Breakthrough Awards. The event, held at the Academic Museum of the Moving Image, honors “the world’s leading scientists whose work fuels modern scientific breakthroughs.”
Strong and Cox did not necessarily see eye to eye when it came to acting methods—in particular, Strong’s use of method acting. Cox described Strong’s style as “very annoying”. in one interview Then vent his thoughts later diverse: “I’m sorry. All that kind of ‘I think, so I feel.’ Just do the work. You don’t know.”
