Ackles said he got permission from his friend to share the news of the event, then revealed, “He’s recovering at home, and it’s…the fact that he’s not in the hospital right now makes me think because I saw the car.”
The actor added, “He wasn’t driving, he was in the passenger seat.”
Prior to today’s statement, Padalecki’s only comment on the matter was the “I’m sorry” he posted to fans last Thursday.
