Jamie Foxx has left the hospital and continues to recover after his medical issue last month.
She took his daughter, Corinne Fox Instagram to debunk a media report that his loved ones were preparing for the worst. She had first announced to social media on April 12 that her father had suffered “medical complications” the day before while filming the Netflix movie Back in business in Atlanta but was on the road to recovery after quick action and great care.
“Update from the family: Sad to see how the media explodes,” Corinne Foxx wrote Friday in a note on her Instagram Stories. “My dad has been out of the hospital for weeks, recovering. In fact, he was playing pickleball yesterday! Thanks for everyone’s prayers and support!”
She added, “We have an exciting action trailer coming next week too!”
Fox Entertainment announced earlier this month that Nick Cannon will replace Jamie Foxx for the upcoming sixth season Shazam wonwith Kelly Osbourne as a guest deejay. Foxx has hosted the music-focused game show since 2017, and Corinne Foxx joined as series deejay in the second season.
The day Cannon’s guest host stint was announced, Foxx took to Instagram to break his silence after the health issue: “I appreciate all the love!!! You feel so blessed.” The star also posted to Instagram Stories at the time, “Appreciate my boy @nickcannon. See you all soon.”
