Hollow Knight: Silksong will no longer release in the first half of 2023

we’ve got finally Got an update on the expected release of Hollow Knight: Silksong, but it might not be the news everyone was expecting.

According to Team Cherry’s publishing and marketing representative Matthew Griffin, it appears Silksong was “planned for release in the first half of 2023” but development on the game is still ongoing. The reason it’s taking so long is because it’s become a very big project and the team wants to launch it in the best possible state.

We’re excited about how the game is shaping up, and it’s getting pretty big, so we want to take the time to make the game as good as possible. The previous official update about Silksong came back in June last year during the Xbox Showcase – with Microsoft’s gaming division confirmed Silksong will be made available on Game Pass within the next 12 months as a Day 1 release. Based on this latest development, this seems unlikely.

As mentioned in the update above, more details about Silksong will be released as the game gets closer to its release.
