Helena Christensen and ex-husband Norman Reedus reunited to celebrate their son Mingus’ graduation from NYU in the star’s latest Instagram post uploaded Saturday.
The Danish model, 54, who enjoyed another reunion with fellow ’90s supermodels Cindy Crawford and Christy Turlington, uploaded a photo of her posing with her son, 23, and The Walking Dead actor, also 54.
The former couple dated notably from 1998 until their separation in 2003, and they welcomed Mingus in October 1999.
The stunning beauty can be seen sporting a short-sleeved black and blue striped sweater for an adorable family photo. Her brunette locks were parted to the side, and her shoulders were sculpted into light curls.
Norman was wearing a black long-sleeved shirt while Mingus was seen wearing a white button-up that he left partially open around the collar.
The trio flashed joyful smiles towards the camera with the supermodel writing in her son’s caption, “I did it!”
She also uploaded a short clip to her 1 million fans and followers, catching Mingus in his purple graduation gown as he had his hand in the air alongside his dad as they walked towards her.
Social media users have jumped into the comments section to offer their congratulations to the 23-year-old on the milestone, as have Norman’s fiancée, Diane Kruger, and Hannibal actress, Julianne Moore.
Helena’s best friend, Cindy Crawford, wrote “Bravo!” While Chrissy Turlington added a slew of purple heart emojis in reference to the NYU school color.
The beauty also uploaded a separate selfie to her Instagram Stories as she sat next to Norman during their son’s ceremony to cheer on Mingus.
“Amazing party for @nyutisch 2023 alumni,” Christensen wrote in a caption added at the bottom of the photo, referring to NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts.
Mingus began following in his mother’s footsteps, walking the runway for brands as well as appearing in campaigns. He recently participated in the Versace Spring/Summer 2023 fashion show in Milan.
Late last year in October, he also joined his mum at Marcell Von Berlin and stood by Helena in 2021 for Victoria’s Secret’s Mother’s Day campaign.
Since their separation in 2002, Helena and Norman have maintained a friendship and a healthy co-parenting relationship. The two also got together to celebrate their son’s high school graduation in 2018.
In March last year, Mingus was ordered to private counsel after he pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct, after he allegedly punched an unknown woman in the face at the San Gennaro Festival in Manhattan.
Shortly before the exciting festivities over the weekend, the Danish-born star had the chance to reunite with fellow ’90s supermodels, Cindy Crawford and also Christy Turlington.
The beauty uploaded a photo series to Instagram that captured the fun moment, writing, ‘Lifelong friendships. So, beyond gratitude to these women, love them and our kids so much, followed by a white heart emoji.
Along with a plethora of photos of the stunning model, Helena also uploaded a photo of her children: Mingus, Crawford’s daughter, Kaia Gerber, and Christie’s daughter, Grace Burns.
Turlington kindly wrote in the comments section of the post, “This was a great end to a long day! Thanks @helenachristensen for always capturing these occasions that don’t happen too often!”
Brooke Shields also sent her thoughts, adding, “I love this so much!!” I was never a member of this group, but I have loved each and every one of you from a very long distance…and now from up close in life. I am grateful for all of that.
Fellow supermodel, Naomi Campbell, wrote, “Love,” while Kaia Gerber wrote, “Such special memories. Love you!!!!!
Notably featured in the 1990s and on the covers of many magazines, such as Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar, Helena also embraced her passion for photography.
Some of her work has appeared in publications like Elle and Marie Claire, the model recently told Welcome! magazine In an article published last month in April, “Photography is how I breathe, there’s no way I could live without it.”
It is very important for me to see and discover everything – to be curious about things. Modeling is also a big part of my life.”
“I hope I can carry on with all of it, because it inspires me creatively and I am so grateful to have this gift in my life — not everyone can be passionate about something.”
