Bombing continues in the Gaza Strip. An AFP team reports on Thursday June 13 heavy artillery fire and attacks by Israeli helicopters in the Rafah sector, the southern tip of the Palestinian enclave near the border with Egypt. Follow our live stream.

The Hezbollah fires rockets at Israel. The Hamas’ ally Lebanon’s Hezbollah fired rockets into northern Israel on Wednesday and vowed to intensify its attacks to avenge the death of a top military commander killed earlier in a targeted Israeli strike in southern Lebanon. Anti-rocket warning sirens were still sounding in northern Israel early Thursday morning, according to the military.

The US Secretary of State is still demanding a ceasefire. Antony Blinken, who has just finished his tour of the Middle East, says his country will continue to work with other mediators, Qatar and Egypt, to reach a ceasefire agreement. “Furthermore [la guerre] will last, and people will suffer, it’s time to stop bargaining”US diplomatic chief said.

Israel and seven Palestinian armed groups have been accused of war crimes. A UN panel on Wednesday found Israel responsible for “crimes against humanity”, specifically “extermination” in the Palestinian territories. He also accused Israeli officials and seven Palestinian armed groups, including Hamas, of committing war crimes. The Israeli embassy in Geneva accused the commission “Systematic Discrimination” Against the Jewish state.
