New pre-orders for God of War are set to start tomorrow and one retailer seems to be getting a little excited. A UK retailer that has a partnership with PlayStation sent emails before pre-orders went live and it appears they leaked details about God of War Ragnarok Frame rate and resolution details on PS5, among other features.
God of War Ragnarok Frames and Resolution Modes
It looks like God of War Ragnarok will come with two graphics modes on the PS5, one that offers “full 4K resolution at 30 fps target”, or the other offers “dynamic resolution upgraded to 4K at 60 fps”. The email from UK retailer Shopto, as spotted by NeoGAF member DonJorginho (Thanks Beginner’s Guide), also confirmed that the game’s PlayStation 5 features will include 3D audio that will allow players to “hear enemies approaching from any direction.” There will also be DualSense features such as “immersive” haptic feedback and an adaptive trigger function.
PS5 features will likely be confirmed in an announcement tomorrow, July 14th, when Pre-orders start. Gamers are also hoping for activity cards and gaming assistance, and load times are admittedly reduced thanks to the console’s SSD drive. In addition to the Standard Edition and the Digital Deluxe Edition on both PS4 and PS5, God of War Ragnarok will be available in a Collector’s Edition and a Jotnar Edition, both of which are likely to sell out quickly. However, players will need to wait until the game’s release on November 9, 2022, to be able to test the two graphics modes for themselves.
