Floods continue to wreak havoc in Germany, Switzerland and Italy. Rescuers are still searching for many missing people.

The floods killed at least five people, including a 42-year-old volunteer firefighter, during an evacuation near Pfaffenhofen in Bavaria. Another 22-year-old rescuer is still missing.
A few dozen kilometers away, in Regensburg, the Danube reaches a record level of 5.9 meters. Officials declared a state of emergency.
Switzerland is on high alert. The Rhine between the mouth of the Aare and the Basel is on alert at 3 out of 5, as is Lake Constance. Officials expect water levels to continue to rise into the middle of the week and could reach danger level 4.
Divers, drones and helicopters continue to search for a teenager swept away by flash floods in northern Italy, a day after two bodies were found.
The 3 were trapped in the middle of the Netizen River in the Friuli Venezia Giulia area when the river’s water level suddenly began to rise.
