As time goes on, I’m learning more and more about the ins and outs of Diablo 4, and when I come across something particularly relevant, I always want to share it with you all.
While as a new player Diablo 4 can be a bit of an information overload with dozens of stats, different percentages, titles, gems, and everything else, there are a couple of settings that even provide more The information, but the ones I recommend using when planting for supplies are all the same. I’d say the former is more important, but both are useful in their own ways.
These are under Options and then Play near the middle of the list. we’ve got:
Advanced tooltip information – again, you probably won’t have any idea what this means once you read it, but what it does do is put the possible range of stat values for each stat in an item in there. This is how you can easily tell if something is a perfect roll or a crap roll based on where these values fall. This is especially useful for righties, as those with a maximum points or percentage are the ones you definitely want to extract, if you don’t want to use the item itself because its other stats are wrong. Very, very important when deciding what gear to keep or get rid of.
Advanced comparison hints – This gives you the ability to not only let you see what you gain when you switch to a new item, but also what you lose, including things like if a Legendary gives you extra ranks for a certain skill, and you switch to another one, it reminds you what You lose it so you don’t lose sight of it.
Since I started looking at all stat ranges on everything, it really helped with building builds, and figuring out what was really good or not, rather than having to memorize all the maximums and minimums for different stats and labels. Even if you’re a casual gamer, I’d still probably recommend it, even if it means more information on the screen. Once you understand and use it, you will soon wonder how you ever lived without it.
I’ll look up more things I should have learned sooner, and when I do, you’ll be the first to hear about it.
