Thousands of people demonstrated around the world this weekend to demand a ceasefire in Gaza

Thousands of demonstrators took to the streets in cities around the world over the weekend, including London, Paris, New York, Tunisia and Oman, to show solidarity with the people of Gaza and show their support for a ceasefire in the Strip.
Ammaan Jordan: Police can be seen in a video released by AFP repelling a large crowd of protesters who gathered on Saturday – also known as “Land Day” – chanting, carrying signs and waving Palestinian flags.
TunisiaIn the capital, demonstrator Mona Al-Sayed told AFP on Saturday: “This march is the least we can do for the Palestinian people. A people who have been suffering for years. Today is “Land Day” and it is an opportunity to remind people that “injustice exists.” We, as Arabs and Muslims, must stand by our brothers.”
Paris, FranceFrench-Palestinian lawyer Salah Hammouri told AFP on Saturday that he expects France “to put an end to its involvement in this ongoing genocide (in Gaza), to completely stop selling weapons to the Israeli occupier, and to impose a military embargo.” And the economic blockade on the occupying power.” Left-wing politician Manon Aubry was also among those who demonstrated on Saturday.
London, United Kingdom: A large police presence could also be seen in London on Saturday as large numbers of people joined a pro-Palestinian march, waving the Palestinian flag in front of a smaller pro-Israel demonstration.
New York, United States: Protesters marched through the streets chanting and beating drums.
