Pinkfong, the company behind the song Baby Shark – aka the song Most viewed video on YouTube – Announced the NFT project titled “Baby Shark: Collection No. 2.” The NFTs in the collection, all 10,000, will display the generative art of the titular baby shark and the rest of its family of sharks. Generative NFTs are similar to the Bored Ape Yacht Club, in that there are a variety of random traits across a group.
When I first heard this news, I had two thoughts at once (using my entire daily allowance):
- Please tell me they are not trying to sell NFT to children
And the
So yeah, that’s obviously going to be the second set of NFTs featuring Brooklyn (TIL, that’s the name of the baby shark) and his family. the first was Announced late last year And according to Pinkfong, it was immediately sold out. I regret to inform you that people have spent hundreds and even thousands of dollars on this NFT, even though the initial sale happened in December 2021. That was, According to NonFungible Market Tracker, shortly before the NFT market began to decline. Unfortunately, this probably means there are some Baby Shark bag holders Abroad.
As for whether Pinkfong is trying to get kids to this interest… I’m not sure where to do that. that it road map (Which, yes, includes the development of ‘Baby Shark’s imprint and the universe in metaverse”) is often written for investors and adults. However, it also depends on your knowledge and interest in the “Baby Shark” characters and your desire to be a part of the community. This is not something that I find true for most adults, although I think I could always be wrong.
What is sure Not For kids is the “Baby Shark” party in NFT.NYC that Pinkfong will use to celebrate their second round of the NFTs. The company describes the event as “a great night of entertainment, music, and networking,” and let me tell you; I’m so curious to see what kind of networking is going on at a party for NFTs “Baby Shark”. Am I curious enough to take on NFT.NYC to find out? Well, unfortunately, I’m too busy to do anything else that day (plus, you know, I wasn’t invited for some reason). but if You are Eventually please email me to let me know how it was.
If you’ve missed out on the Baby Shark party in Austin, don’t worry, we’ll be going a bigger size next week in NYC!
Our party, Baby Shark Nite @ The Nolcha Shows: NFT Edition, drops next Monday 6/20 through https://t.co/tEgGxaSihf.
This event is by invitation only, so send us a direct message for more information! 🙂 pic.twitter.com/xXRXHL99A9

I certainly wouldn’t say that this invitation seems directed towards children.
When it comes down to it, you won’t hear any judgment from me about adults who have personally decided to buy into the “Baby Shark” NFT stroller when this set is released later this year. (Not because I don’t judge people for buying NFTs, but because I usually do it quietly.) But the Pinkfong website says the company is all about “defining the first moments of childhood.” Parents out there, please – don’t limit your children’s first moments with speculative origins.
