Australian dancer Rachel Gunn has caused a stir on social media after her performance at the Paris 2024 Olympics.
Breakdancing, commonly known as breakdancing, made its Olympic debut on Friday. The competition consists of two gender-based events, with 16 female breakdancers and 16 male breakdancers competing for the gold medal.
Images of Jan — who competes under the name Raegan — have gone viral after her performance in the round robin stage of the women’s icebreaker competition on Friday, where she was eliminated without a single point. The 36-year-old sparked dozens of memes and was criticised by viewers for her unconventional moves as she competed against American Logan Edra, Lithuania’s Dominika Panevic and France’s Sia Dembele.

Another user wrote on X, “My dog is on the grass 30 seconds after I finish bathing him.”
John, who holds a Ph.D. in Cultural Studies, is a university professor at Macquarie University In Sydney. She was named the Best B-girl by the Australian Dance Association in 2020 and 2021, and won the Oceania Dance Championships in 2023.

Ultimately, Japan’s Ami Yuasa won the gold medal in the junior girls’ competition at the Paris Olympics, while Banevich took silver and China’s Liu Qingyi took bronze. The junior boys’ competition began on Saturday.
