The goal gave Ovi 1410 points, making him officially in the top 20 in terms of points of all time.

Arlington, Virginia – Capitals captain Alex Ovechkin scored his 780th career goal and 50th of the season Wednesday night against the Vegas Golden Knights at T-Mobile Arena to hit the 50 goal mark for the ninth time in his career, and tied with Wayne Gretzky and Mike Posey the most.
