A legend who chose George Santos, a Republican who was indicted by a federal justice

Date:

The Republican Party chose George SantosThe lies have created a stir In the world of politics and media since his election in 2022, US media reported on Tuesday that he has been indicted by federal justice. The exact nature of the allegations is not yet known.

According to CNN, citing three sources close to the case, federal prosecutors have charged Jorge Santos, and the New York elected official may appear in court on Wednesday.

Jorge Santos, 34, who significantly inflated his financial income and “embellished” his CV, has admitted grossly lying about entire areas of his life.

A series of lies

The man who presented himself as a symbol of the “American Dream” was accused of lying or exaggerating the truth by portraying himself as a “proud Jewish American” — he grew up in a Catholic family but his “heritage was Jewish” — or as the grandson of Holocaust survivors who survived Nazi barbarism.

He was also accused of embezzling donations from a fundraiser to help the dying dog of a former U.S. soldier. Santos has been the subject of numerous investigations in Congress, in New York and as far away as Brazil.

Asked about the possible impeachment of Jorge Santos, Republican House Speaker Kevin McCarthy said he would look at the “allegations” before considering expelling him from Congress.
