The Lectric XP Lite folding e-bike costs only $799

Lectric, the US-based maker of economical electric bikes, has a new foldable It only costs $799, before taxes. This is incredibly inexpensive at a time when transportation costs, combined with a lack of chips and components, are driving up prices across the e-bike industry. Even better, it looks like it’s not junk.

The Lectric XP Lite is iterated on the company’s XP and XP 2.0 models, but is now lighter (but not as light at 53 lbs/24 kg with battery) and more compact, while also being more maneuverable according to the company.

The Class 2 e-bike is equipped with a 300W rear hub motor (capable of a 720W peak) that reaches 20 mph (32 km/h). It’s powered by a 375Wh battery that goes for about 15 miles (24 km) using the throttle only, or 40 miles (64 km) in the lowest pedal assist setting.
