According to the Hindustan Times, a man died of electrocution in India on Tuesday evening. The accident took place in Chamoli district of Uttarakhand state. The man, a maintenance worker at the project site, is believed to have died after touching the tracks. After that, the electricity was cut off at that place.
After his body was found by his family the next day, a large number of people went to the spot and protested. Then there was another power cut and 15 people died due to electrocution. The Hindustan Times reported that at least 11 people were injured in the accident.
The investigation is ongoing

Himanshu Khurana, a top official in Chamoli district, told AFP the cause of the accident was under investigation.
