ESPN’s Jordan Reed created a whole new game A seven-round mock draft newly. With the No. 9 pick, Reid got the Bears to attack the offensive line.
He has the Bears pick Broderick Jones, an offensive tackle from Georgia.
“Don’t be surprised if Jones is the best offensive tackle off the plate. I keep hearing his name in that range. General Manager Ryan Pauls aspires to height and physical attributes, and Jones may have the biggest upside of the tackles in this category. The interesting dynamic around this is The thing is, Braxton Jones, a fifth-round draft pick last year, has shown promise as a starter at left tackle. Will Jones move to right or left tackle here? It’s a big problem for a Chicago team that continues to reshape its offense around quarterback Justin Fields.” Reid wrote.

Many are speculating that not only will the Bears tackle the ditches in the first round, but they’ll still be in the ninth. They’re already back from first place, and any further move down the draft standings will reduce their chances of drafting a ready-made player.
The Bears had many problems from the two ditch last season. Offensively, they are 14th in the PFF overall rankings. However, their run blocking success was only a prop for their high positioning. On the other hand, their pass protection was terrible. Justin Fields was the NFL’s most sacked player last season. Bears need support at tackle points, Reid hints.
In the second round, the Bears have two options. They received a second round pick from the Baltimore Ravens after Roquan Smith was traded to them before the deadline. They also have a second manager at the San Francisco 49ers via the Carolina Panthers, whom they traded in part for the #1 pick.
With the first two runs of the second inning, Reed had the Bears take Isaiah Foskey, a advantage from Notre Dame.
General Manager Ryan Boles should use the assets toward a defensive line that struggled last season. To put it just how bad the Bears’ passing was a year ago, safety Jaquan Brisker led them in sacks — with four. Foskey put 11 in the Reed Books: Consecutive Seasons for the Fighting Irish.
Last season, the Bears allowed two rushing yards per game and made the fewest sacks of any team in the NFL. Some assume Jalen Carter could create solid value if he fell to the ninth-ranked Bears. Tyree Wilson and Miles Murphy could also be in attendance. But Reed made the Bears wait until the second round to address their lack of pressure from the defensive line.
The Poles mentioned his affinity for players from the Chicagoland area as well. Foskey is from California, originally. But he played soccer locally for Notre Dame. This offseason, the Bears signed Robert Tonian and TJ Edwards, both natives from Chicagoland.
As for the rest of the draft, here’s how Reid makes the Bears’ picks.
