Police in Hong Kong have filed murder charges against the in-laws of a model whose organs were found in a freezer and a skull believed to be hers found in a jar.

HONG KONG – Police in Hong Kong have filed murder charges against the in-laws of a model and influencer whose body parts were found in a refrigerator in a village home, and a skull believed to be hers was discovered in a bowl.

Hong Kong model Abby Choi’s father-in-law and his eldest son have been charged with murder, police said in a statement on Sunday, while her ex-mother-in-law faces perverting the course of justice.

Superintendent Alan Chung said authorities also arrested the woman’s ex-husband on Saturday and will charge him with murder Sunday evening. The four will appear in court on Monday.

At a news conference Sunday, Chung said authorities found the skull of a young woman believed to be Choi’s in one of the cookware they seized, along with several ribs, hair and human issues. He added that in another vessel, forensic doctors also discovered a small number of human bones.

“There is a hole in the posterior right side of the skull, so the pathologist believes that must have been the fatal attack on the victim,” he said.

Chung said he believes Choi was attacked in a car and was unconscious when she got home. Police were still trying to establish the exact time of death and locate her hands and torso.

On Sunday, police also arrested another woman who is believed to be the ex-father-in-law’s mistress for allegedly aiding the other suspects. Chung said she rented the house with the father, as well as another hiding place for the ex-husband.

Chung said earlier that Choi, 28, has financial disputes involving tens of millions of HK dollars with her ex-husband and his family, adding that “some people” are unhappy with the way Choi has handled her financial assets.

Choi was a model and influencer who shared her glamorous life of photoshoots and fashion shows with her 100,000+ followers. Wearing a long tulle gown, she had just attended the Dior show at Paris Fashion Week.

Her last post was a week ago, featuring a photo shoot she did with fashion house L’Officiel Monaco.
