It has been Just over a week Since Google announced new icons for its communication apps on Android. The new Google Messages icon is now available on the web with a rather nice animated splash screen.
Like Gmail, Messages is one of the few Google apps that features an animated splash screen for its icon on the web. We’ve found that it only appears if you choose “Remember This PC”, with the animation appearing on future page reloads.
It starts with a small light blue circle which then expands into a message bubble. Then a dark blue dot appears and does the same on the layer above it. The tail is hidden under it and we get to the final icon. This animation is similar to the one Google shared on YouTube, but it’s a little different.
These are small details but surprisingly beautiful Not found in the Android app. The new icon is being published in the beta channel as well as on Wear OS. Similarly, Google Contacts has been rolled out to phones and wearablesWhile we’re still waiting for Phone by Google. Play Store listings for all three have already been updated.
Meanwhile, Messages for the Web in late August expanded the theme’s settings to include light, dark, default, and high contrast. Speaking of web applications, duo.google.com It was Updated with the Google Meet brand.
