The Eagles have a perfect track record but they know they’re not perfect

Date:

The best part about the Eagles’ perfect 6-0 start is that they are far from perfect.

Entering farewell week, the Eagles are the only undefeated team in the NFL and have amassed their 6-0 record without playing their best game yet.

So the eagles are really good and have more room to grow.

This is interesting.

In a way, it’s even more exciting than if the vultures had already reached their roof. Because in six games they’ve been pretty good, but they still have a lot of things to clean up during the farewell week self-exploration.

In a way, this sounds like Jalen Hurts’ dream – to have a team that wins but gives him the opportunity to point out their flaws on the podium after every W. He always talks about the standard – and you can argue the Eagles haven’t even gotten to that yet.

“I think being 6-0 is cool, but I think you can put your foot on everyone and say, ‘Do you like this? Does this feel good? “Okay, then we have to keep going and dive even harder,” said Nick Serenny.

“It doesn’t mean you don’t do it when you’re 0-6 or 2-5, or whatever, but it’s easier to really go after everything because I think there are no emotions involved when you’re six. It’s 0. Like, come on, let’s go. That’s not good enough, and let’s improve it.”

There is no sense of participation when you are 6-0.

This part of Sirianni quote really stands out. Because you think it can be difficult for a team with a perfect track record to find things to improve. With a bad team, these flaws are often very visible. They are less visible with this team. But Sirianni’s point is that it’s easier to point out those problem areas with a winning record.

You learn a lot from losses, but you always prefer to learn from gains.

Back in training camp, Jason Kelsey mentioned that it can sometimes be difficult to properly assess the bar after a win because you might be overlooking something through rose-colored glasses. This is where the eagles have to be more about the process than the results. Because you can’t argue about the results – six matches and six victories.

But if you only watch the tape, the Eagles can get better.

Despite their 6-0 record, there are still plenty of areas in which the Eagles could improve. Their squad units were shaky. Their defense while running sometimes leaks. For whatever reason, they scored all of their points in the second quarter. Lightning attacks still give them spells.

During Farewell Week, Siriani distributes special projects to his assistant coaches, who will take an in-depth look at some of the individual elements of the game and report back. The Eagles will use this information and try to apply it to their team in hopes of getting better.

It’s a good thing that the Eagles seem like rookies, because if you start looking at their schedule over the last 11 games, it’s not much of a juggernaut. They came back from the farewell with games against the Steelers, Texans, Commanders and Colts.

“There are always things to work on, right? Things that always have to be worked on,” Siriani said. “So, I actually think we can be more demanding and crazier, you know, what is the norm when you are 6-0.”
