  • The Russian Defense Ministry said its plane shot down a Ukrainian MI-17 helicopter near the eastern town of Sloviansk and an SU-25 in the Kharkiv region.
  • The Russian military also said its long-range air-to-air missiles destroyed a warehouse in an industrial area in Odessa, southern Ukraine, which was storing Harpoon anti-ship missiles delivered by NATO countries to Ukraine.
  • The British Ministry of Defense said that Russia is strengthening its defense positions in the areas it occupies in southern Ukraine.
  • On Sunday, more Russian missiles hit industrial facilities in the strategic southern city of Mykolaiv, a major shipbuilding center in the southern Bug estuary, local officials said. There was no immediate information about injuries.
  • The region’s governor said on Saturday that a Russian missile strike hit the northeastern Ukrainian town of Chuhiv in the Kharkiv region, killing three people, including a 70-year-old woman, and wounding three others.
  • Russia-backed separatists said Ukraine bombed the town of Alchevsk, east of Slovinsk, with six US-made HIMARs missiles on Saturday. The Luhansk People’s Republic said the strikes killed two civilians.
