The PC game show focused on… you guessed it, PC games! The two-hour show was packed with trailers for upcoming games. Instead of listing everything on display, I curated a list of notable personal events. It includes the next Klei game, the next Tom Francis game and the next 11-bit game. There were some really great things about the show – read on to check out the best parts.
We’ve got a trailer for Don’t Starve and Mark of the Ninja developer Klei for the next game, Rotwood. It’s a hack and up to four player dungeon crawler in which you battle corrupt monsters, collect what’s left and create a safe haven.
Tactical breach witches! This turn-based strategy from Tom Francis, maker of the excellent Gunpoint and Heat Signature.
This is The Invincible, a new philosophical sci-fi adventure game set for release in 2023.
That’s cool: the first in-game take on the new 11-bit game, Space Survival The Alters. 11-bit is the developer behind this awesome game This War of Mine and Frostpunk so this is a game worth watching.
Shiro Games showcased the multiplayer mode Dune: Spice Wars, which came out this month, a new co-op update to the tactical RPG Wartales open world, and an all-new single-player adventure for Northgard.
We’ve got a new trailer for a remake of Nightdive Studio’s System Shock, which I’m looking forward to. There is no release date though!
Nivalis is a great looking, cyberpunk-themed “slice of life” game set in the same city as the previous Ion Lands game, Cloudpunk. Definitely one to watch.
Agent 64: Spies don’t die, well, it’s GoldenEye, right? why not? While we wait for Microsoft, Nintendo, and any other stakeholders who need to stick their paddle in the new official release to pull their finger, this FPS inspired by the original Rare’s Shooter looks like it’s having a laugh.
Mountain city builder Laysara: Summit Kingdom looks up my street. It is scheduled to be released in early 2023.
Here’s the start of Victoria 3, Paradox’s upcoming grand strategy game.
Here’s a video update of the Thief-inspired Gloomwood, which is The game with the cool inventory bag. Early access begins August 16th.
The PC game show ended with an extended gameplay video of the great-looking Half-Life: Alyx mod, Levitation. This is a four or five hour campaign from the mods team. They made this!
These are my picks for the best PC game show parts. What were your highlights?
