2023 Hyundai Palisade facelift – photo, leaked details

The Enhanced Hyundai Palisade It was due to be revealed in just a couple of days on April 13, but the cat crawled out of the bag a bit early – and the culprit was none other than Hyundai itself. The company’s YouTube channel official inadvertently used an entire image of the updated large SUV as the cover photo for their live broadcast, revealing the vehicle for all to see.

Apparently this happened a few hours ago, and while the live broadcast itself has since been deleted, news sites like Engine 1 I managed to cut out the image and keep it. As you can see, the entire front end is clearly visible, although there isn’t much that wasn’t already revealed in the official teasers last week.

The most notable change is the more angular grille, which now flows outward at the top, filling the space previously occupied by pointers. This large aperture features gem-like “parametric” inserts also found on Tucson, including the “hidden” lights of that car on the outer edges. Previously C-shaped, the Palisade’s signature vertical LED daytime running lights now form a straight line at the corners.

Furthermore, the main headlights have been reshaped to match the new DRLs, as is the apparently top-spec satin chrome chin spoiler. Penmanship alternative. Also shown here are new turbine-style multi-spoke alloy wheels.

More details were revealed in a leaked render that was discovered by korean car blog, which indicates that the improved Palisade will also receive a new rear bumper, upper dashboard, center console and steering wheel, presumably in line with newer models such as the Tucson. You can also expect new color and finish options as part of the renovation.

Other new features include a larger 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen (previously up to 10.25 inches), a “full-screen rearview mirror” (presumably digital with a camera view), rain-resistant “hydrophobic” windows, and the Assist System Smart remote parking, digital key, more advanced voice control system, improved Bluelink in-vehicle remote control function and custom ‘drag mode’.

In terms of safety, the Palisade is set to receive an updated Autonomous Emergency Braking System with cyclist, Cross Traffic and Oncoming Vehicle Detection, Blind Spot Collision Avoidance, Highway Driving Assist II (level 2 semi-autonomous driving with lane change assistance), Reverse AEB and curve cruise control for adaptive cruise control. This keeps it up to date with the latest Hyundai models.

No mechanical changes were mentioned, so expect the Palisade to use the same engines – a 3.8-liter naturally-aspirated V6 in MPI (277 PS) and direct-injection (295 PS) variants, along with a 2.2-liter four-pot turbodiesel producing 200 hp and 441 Newton meters of torque. They are all currently connected to an eight-speed automatic gearbox with a choice of front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive.
